Aesthetica

127

Produced in the north of England, Aesthetica offers a much-welcomed, non London-centric view of art, design, photography and general culture. This October/November issue leads with photographer Margeaux Walter, whose surreal scenes camouflage herself within nature, questioning our shifting relationship with the outdoors. This issue also features a series of artists using photography to shape light, illuminating futures rooted in transformation, connection and empathy. Among those featured are Albarrán Cabrera, Lachlan Turczan, Marine Lanier, Brigitte Kowanz, Satijin Panyigay, Cristina Spagnolo, Tommy Goguely and Scan LAB Projects.  On the Journal:‘We look for ‘art’ in the broadest sense, featuring works that are both visually engaging and conceptually or culturally important. There are layers to the images and pieces that we publish, all with ties to a rapidly changing world, from the climate crisis to conversations around social justice’ – Kate Simpson, Associate editor.
