Zind

1

New glossy biannual Zind—meaning ‘to live’ in Urdu—examines what ‘a sense of belonging means to a new generation of British South Asians’, seeking to challenge typical media representation and carve out a space for the community through interviews and photography. Particularly notable is the fact that the magazine is trilingual—all text is written in English, Bangla and Urdu, the latter two languages rarely seen on our shelves.  This first issue features interviews with four British South Asian creatives on their industry experiences, photo series on Southall, Brick Lane and bridal fashion, and a tragic short story.  theroadtonowhere.online
