Rock & Roll Public Library

1

‘A ragged map to aid further exploration and inspire yet more creation.’ The Rock & Roll Public Library magazine emerges after it’s physical exhibition at Farsight Gallery. An explosive archive bounding together tens of thousands of books, comics, magazines, musical equipment, art, clothing, film and ephemera collected by The Clash guitarist, Mick Jones.  The magazine presents a mishmash of memorabilia from the archive: from cereal adverts to gig posters alongside commentary from Jones and David Bailey. Zine-like in nature, RRPL explores the ubiquitous influence that every-day objects have had on pop-culture over the 20th-century.
