Rat World

‘A magazine for the underground’ Rat World provides rare insight into the underground creative world of Aotearoa/New Zealand, offering both mentorship and a platform for young BIPOC and queer creatives to showcase their work across music, fashion, poetry, comics and more.  After a much needed break, Rat World is back with their eighth issue—once again delivering an array of ‘experimental, interesting, weird and off-kilter work’ with a unique Aotearoa/New Zealand edge. Inside, you’ll find interviews with a host of underground musicians; a conversation with an 89-year-old tooth gem fanatic; candid pastel drawings by Yue Pilbrow; Karla Kracht’s ‘bizarre’ mixed-media figure installations; as well as, four funny and fleshy comics from ‘Marrow and Other Stories’ by Sloane Hong.  ratworldmag.com
