‘Unidentified experimental fuckaroundery’ Purgatory Sandwich is a new A5 zine born out of TBWA advertising strategist Peter Kormanyos’ desire to disrupt ‘the corporate monotone of obviousness’. A speculative space combining playful ideas with eccentric design, it features a cornucopia of bite-sized think pieces perfectly suited to reading on the go. This third limited edition offering from Purgatory Sandwich is wackier than ever and hinges around a collaboration with the coffee roasters Stean’s Beans. Themed ‘Liquid Madness for Beautiful Insomniacs’, as ever it arrives in its signature paper sandwich bag, this time accompanied by a blood bag and filter coffee—to interpret at your will! There’s much to digest as you flick through the psychedelic pages, including a barrage of caffeine-fueled musings (‘Airports see more sincere kisses than wedding halls’) and a comic featuring a mutant espresso-blooded baby.
