‘The uplifting current affairs magazine’ Positive News was established to report on inspirational issues and examine society’s challenges through a lens of progress and possibility—‘constructive journalism.’ Originally produced as a newspaper and distributed free by volunteers, it was relaunched as a magazine in 2015. Headlining this issue: ‘Sound Futures: The grassroots project tuning up the next generation of musicians’ by James Banyard. On the Journal:‘Newspaper is more throwaway,’ agrees Sean Dagan Wood. ‘And it’s less about how something is presented.
