Order Territory

1

A new chunky title from the Amsterdam-based tattoo studio ‘Order Tattoos’, the eponymous underground art magazine Order Territory promises to provide ample ‘space for people, scenes and stories that stretch across different territories.’  Covering a diverse array of disciplines and subcultures, the debut issue builds a rich visual language rooted in graffiti, street art and tattoo culture. Inside, you’ll find an interview with musician Passion Deez; sketchbook and photographic documentation of Boris Tellegan’s precisely planned and executed freight train graffiti; an 18-page conversation between photographers Rahim Fortune and Dana Lixenberg, on bearing witness to the ‘international, interracial, interclass and intergenerational’ make-up of contemporary America; and a window into Henk Schiffmacher’s Tattoo Museum, an extensive archive of the inky world of the late Pier de Haan (‘Tattoo Peter’). Plus, discover three cut-out DIY inserts: a paper rat dress-up sheet, a metro ticket and a dice game. On the cover: Artwork by Brooklyn-based punk printmaker and musician Alexander Heir aka Death Traitors. orderterritorymag.com
