The Italian cycling title Alvento takes a people-centric approach to the sport by celebrating those who have ‘chosen bikes as a means of expressing themselves.’ As for the name? It's Italian for ‘in the wind,’ its many uses in cycling (and everyday) chat outlined on the final page of the magazine. Previously published exclusively in Italian, this 38th issue is their second edition aiming to ‘go a bit further’ by publishing in English. With their content—profiling cyclists, covering races, and sharing two-wheeled journeys from around the world—the magazine aims to remain firmly Italian, with this international version translating all the same features from the original Italian edition. In this issue: Eddy Merckx captured by amateur photographer Giancarlo Baggio; summiting Valle d’Aosta in the 2025 Giro d’Italia queen stage; riding solo with Marc Hirschi; touring Tigray; plus, Federico Damiani in conversation with Nelson Trees, adventure cycling fanatic and founder of the challenging Silk Road Mountain Race. alvento.cc
